Reflection: Allowing students to be involved with their own learning is a big thing. Creativity is a strong and very important aspect of school, and even life. Allowing students to be creative and giving them the inspiration needed to blossom can mean their success or failure. I've heard this saying so many times, although I'm not sure where it originated from, "Parents are the number one killers of their children's dreams" (Author Unknown). This quote makes so much sense to me because as parents we find ourselves not wanting our children to divulge in creative type careers such as musicians, artist (paint, tattoo, etc), and sports. I believe in allowing children to be creative. The projects that I am listing below best fit this standard. I chose the course website because it allowed me to be creative in presenting the content of the course. I chose the discussion forum because again it allowed me to express my own reflection on questions asked in my group members' forum. Lastly, I chose the class story. I had so much fun creating this story. All of it is completely my words and thoughts. I was able to be creative, as well as get a reflective type response from students by inserting a few questions. I had the most difficult time with the movie story. In fact, I still haven't figured out where I went wrong. Although I was able to express myself and my ideas, technology did whoop my butt because I couldn't figure out how to add audio to it.

Future Goals: As a future educator, I plan to allow my students to utilize this standard 100%. I can remember in junior college where my teacher assigned an individual project with no rules or guidelines. It was a blank canvas. There was only one requirement, it had to be about Marketing. When it was time to present, we saw some very great ideas and it was really interesting. It was much more interesting than having to listen to 20 presentations that are all basically the same just different person and different colors. Because of this standard, I will definitely utilize the "Blank Canvas Project."
